Something she wrote was really striking to me.
"As a Muslim friend told me, I needed to dig one deep well, not twenty shallow ones. Only then would there be a possibility of finding clean water." - T. Thorn Coyle, "Evolutionary Witchcraft"
I feel like I have my hands dipped in so many wells but not reaching the water. I have so many spiritual interests I don't get to the heart of just one and do it well. I feel like I am skimming so many surfaces, I need to let go and jump in to one.
I am going to start to study with a very awesome woman and I hope this work goes deep and finds the water.
Holy Mother, in whom we live, move, and have our being, from you all things emerge and unto you all things return...
Open my heart this blessed day. Touch my body and my mind.
Walk with me through the gates of power, in shadow and starlight, in fire meeting earth, in wind on the ocean and the sweet kiss of life.
Blessed be my journey.

Hi Mary.
I totally understand the feeling. I have been studying for approx 10 years and like you I seem to have skimmed so many different subjects and have so many interests that its hard for me to settle on one thing for any length of time. And I dont think that we are alone with this dilemma as there is so much out there now on paganism, almost every bookstore has a section for new age/witchcraft/paganism ect...I luv it yet at the same time I want to learn it all. lol.
Best wishes with the study, I am sure that you will dig your well deeper.
and as always I luv your posts, they are so wisdom filled and informative.
stay blessed

Isn't she wonderful? I listen to her podcast "Elemental Castings." She is really insightful!
I really relate to your issue with 'too many wells'. I tried trad Wicca training as a result of my sense that I had too wide a well, and no depth happening anywhere, but we know how that worked out for me. :) I'm sticking with what I'm currently working on for a year and a day in the hopes that my well will deepen. Good luck with deepening yours!
